What Customers Say About Farberware FCP412 12-Cup Percolator, Stainless Steel:

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT-I'VE USED FARBERWARE FOR OVER 35 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM--MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE CORD IS TOO SHORT SO I HAD TOBUY AN EXTENSION CORD.

enough of those drip things that give you lukewarm at best. a perfect transaction. We finally have HOT coffee. This gem is the best. gives us 2 nice cups each.

I've tried many different ways to brew good coffee, but always return to stainless steel and Farberware. Keeping the pot full and ready for company works perfectly for me. Plastic and aluminum give even the best brews that yucky aftertaste. This one not only brews a great cup of coffee, it keeps the remainder at just the right temperature so that it doesn't become bitter in a few hours. Now I need to see how well the pot holds up to daily use. So far, so good.

Just wanted to get this into the 5 star category to make a point. If you look at the poorer ratings, they are consistently made by people who have recently bought a made in China Farberware (or any/all other brand) percolator. The 5 star reviews by and large appear to be made by people who own old - not new - Farberware percolators. I too recall (and have owned) good percolators, including Farberware, when these appliances were made in the USA. That's also been my experience. Too bad, since in my opinion, electric percs make the very best cup (or two:) of coffee.

I mean the last one was bought in 1972 from Lazarus (which became Macy's now). That's why I had to get a new one. Anyway, this one I have now is terrible. requirements. What I want to know is this.

There is no glass partition in it. Also, I bought a Farberware Chicken Fryer from Penneys. And now to add insult to injury, it does not percolate. I had to return it to the store. Then, I have to open the pot, drain the water and pour it over the basket. I think you people are the only ones who make percolators. It was terrible. It was made in China.

My previous one had a glass section in it. Within 3 months, the chicken would get stuck in the fryer. It sure was not like the previous one I had. It would spark each time it was plugged in.

All the thing seems to do is to warm up the water. But, I am not paying $79.99 again for something that's not going to last even 4 years. What gives. I sent a letter to the Farberware people which came back as they closed their site.Dear Farberware People, I bought a percolator "farberware Millenium" from Macy's in October 2006. They argued with me and didn't want to take it back because it had been used. I can tell you; but, I did get store credit. I know it is cheaper to have it made in some other country. But, don't they have quality control for electrical appliances that is in line with the U.S.

I'll have to re-think coffee. It broke. I just wanted to let you people know what's happening with the average person using your appliances. Obviously, I'll have to get another one. What happened to your quality control. I really don't know what I am going to do about coffee. Thank you,
